Composer and sound artist.
“I started playing the piano at the age of seven. While still at conservatory (intermediate musical studies) I became really fascinated with the music of the great composers of the twentieth century, such as Ligeti, Stockhausen, Scelsi and Grisey. That inspired me to begin exploring new music on my own and to start the composition degree at ESMuC (University of Music, Barcelona) and at the Hochschule für Musik Basel under the supervision of Christophe Havel and G.F. Haas (both instrumental and electroacoustic composition).
After some decisive meetings, I got very interested in working on inter-artistic projects. That is the reason I dedicated my degree project to exploring the relationship between visual and acoustic perception by composing two works where light and sound are confronted in different ways.
This has led me to pursue a Master of Fine Arts at the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst of Basel, where I am experimenting with different media, such as installation, sound art and video. I am combining this with composition lessons at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel with Erik Oña, with whom I am deepening my electronic music skills and thought. My works have been performed and exhibited in Barcelona, Madrid, Mallorca, Bordeaux, Paris and Basel.”
